How do I enroll in the legal plan?

You may enroll in one of Guardian’s legal plans at any time by selecting the Enroll Now section of our website or by calling Guardian’s toll-free hotline.

What does the plan cost?

The Premier plan is available to Individuals on either a Single or Family basis. The Single plan cost is $18.75 per month while the Family plan cost is $21.75 per month.

Who is covered under the Family plan?

Family members covered under the plan consist of you, your spouse and any dependent children under the age of 19 living under your roof, or under the age of 23 attending an accredited institution full-time.

What if I have questions about my Plan Benefits?

We encourage you to contact your plan attorney for all your legal questions. Our Member Services and In-House Counsel Departments are also available by calling Guardian’s toll-free hotline. Or look on our website under Plan Benefits, for a complete listing of benefits and exclusions.

How and when can I start using my plan?

You can access your plan right away.  Our Member Services Department is available to answer any questions by calling Guardian’s toll-free hotline.

Is there a waiting period on covered services?

There is a 6 month waiting period on divorce and bankruptcy.

Who are the Guardian Network Attorneys?

With a combined average of 15 years experience in the practice of law, Guardian Legal attorneys are some of the best in Florida. These Network Attorneys are ready to provide the full range of plan benefits to our members. Guardian Attorneys will respond to your telephone calls within 48 hours and set appointments within 10 business days. If for any reason a Network Attorney falls below our service expectations, we will attempt to resolve the situation, or remove that attorney from the network.

We are extremely thorough in screening and selecting the best attorneys in your area to represent our plan members. Guardian’s minimum requirements to join our legal panel are as follows:

  • Have at least 5 years general practice experience.
  • Operate a fully staffed general practice law office.
  • Maintain an active license with the State Bar with no Bar complaints or disciplinary problems.
  • Agree to provide legal services to our plan members according to Guardian’s policies, utilizing our fee schedules for covered services.
  • Maintain malpractice insurance in the minimum sum of $100,000 per claim. Adhere to the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Can I switch attorneys?

The staff of Guardian along with all of our Network Attorneys wants you to be happy. We value your business and the possibility that you might refer future clients. If at any time you are dissatisfied, just contact our Member Services Department by calling Guardian’s toll-free hotline. The attorney transfer will be effective on the first day of the following month.

What is a pre-existing matter?

Pre-existing matters involve conditions where the event or circumstances of a matter occurred prior to the effective date of your Guardian membership.

Can I cancel my Guardian membership?

If you are not happy with the services offered by Guardian, simply contact our Member Services Department by calling Guardian’s toll-free hotline with your membership information and reason for dissatisfaction. We will strive to resolve the situation if possible or otherwise cancel your membership.
